Overview: What's TABS?

Totally Accurate Battle Simulator (T.A.B.S for short) is "the most accurate simulation of war and military strategy to date". Joking aside, this game is described as "a physics-based battle simulator which lets you, 'pit wacky waving armies against each other'". It allows you to deploy units of various eras (ranging from Cavemen, Vikings, Napoleonic troops, to even the 2016 USA election campaign) against each other in open combat, with hilarious yet fun results from the game's unique physics engine, causing units to go flying from impacts, falling over each other, and creating a generally-pretty mess as the battle rages on. There is a huge variety of units to choose from, ranging from the simple Peasant, to Japanese Samurai or even some comical units, like Trump or Hillary, each unit has its own unique weapon and mechanic. There is some more information here.

Frequently Asked Questions

If your questions are not answered here, please contact Our Staff, or contact Landfall here.

When will the game be released?

The game was released onto Steam on April 1, 2019. Landfall probably will keep the game on this platform, given their previous games, but may release it onto another platform.

Will there be an update to the Open Alpha?

No. Landfall stated that they won't make an update, as this version of the game is full of bugs, glitches, and unfinished systems.

How can I get the Closed Alpha?

The Closed Alpha is available for download here (the same link that was used to download the Open Alpha).

How much will the full version of TABS cost?

The full version of TABS is currently listed as $14.99 USD plus tax in the Steam Store.

Will TABS be available for Console as well as PC?

Landfall has released the PC version. They have stated that TABS will come to console as soon as the game fully releases.

Will There Be a Mobile Port (IOS/Android)?

That is still debated, with no official response from Landfall at this time. However, depending on the success and popularity of the final product, we may see a mobile version of the game. However, due to the sheer amount of new units, maps, and more content that is still unknown, and the possible performance-eating the final product may bring, this idea may be entirely feasible and ultimately discarded. If it helps, there are plenty of clones/inspiration games on the App Store and Google Play/Android Store to give you a TABS-like experience on the go.

Will I be able to create my own unitsmaps, etc?

Yes, in the full game Landfall is planning on implementing Steam Workshop for PC players, so if you know how, you will be able to make modifications to your own game, such as unique units, maps and etc.

Will there be DLCs or updates?

Yes, Landfall is planning on DLCs and updates, and one of them is possibly to re implement the Neon Faction and WW II/ Modern Faction, which have been removed. Patches will most likely be implemented during the development as well, as there will always be a chance of the occasional bug or glitch that will hinder the experience.

Is it confirmed all the content on the wiki will be in the full game?

No, since the Early Access has been released, a lot of our old information is now rendered irrelevant. We are working on a revamp, please allow time for this.

Are you an official Wikia?

While Landfall has shown minor support to us from the past, we are not an official wiki, just a group of fans trying to provide information on what we can with what information we can find across Landfall's statements, videos, live streams, tweets, etc. We though have had limited interactions with them and has on occasion done us minor favors (like releasing the closed alpha to the public, or at least giving us a heads up for it). The administrators have contacted Landfall about a potential partnership, but they politely declined.

Thanks again for visiting!

Sincerely,

The Administration Team
