Overview[]
The use of Factions is to sort the vast amount of units into categories that match other units with their cosmetics, weapons, and abilities. They are mostly themed around cultures and eras in early human history. They also serve as a way to theme sections of the Introduction campaign. Each faction has 7 units. (Except the Secret which has 39 and the legacy faction which has 16).
There are currently 14 factions officially in the Full Version. All Factions other than the Secret Faction have maps to go with the theme of the faction and for the faction's campaign levels.
Current Factions (14)[]
There are currently 14 factions that players have access to in the Full Version.

Trivia[]
- Era and Faction are most commonly used to mean the same thing in TABS, although Faction is the official name. It could also be said that an "Era" is a generation of people or time period, whilst a "Faction" is another term for a tribe or group of people. For example, farmers were working in the Renaissance period of time.
- In the Pre-Alpha, there were no factions. This is because there were only 20 units that were in the game at that time to be put into factions.
