The Chieftain is a melee unit from the Tribal faction. They are equipped with the Stone Axes. |
Characteristics[]
The Chieftain is a tough and very powerful unit armed with a Stone Axe in both hands. They will use them to rapidly swing, hack and strike enemy units. They have high health and moderately fast speed compared to other lesser individuals, able to reach the frontlines quicker and take a shot. As such powerful units, the Chieftain is somewhat expensive.
In combat, the Chieftain's Stone Axe deals high and crippling damage with a very short cooldown period. A formidable foe, the Chieftain can devastate those who comes close with their high damage per second with their dual-wielding skills.
Appearance[]
The Chieftain is a Wobbler of average size dual-wielding Stone Axes. They have a chestnut beard and wears an animal skull strapped to their head as a helmet and a primitive hide cape that extends to their thigh. To cover their privates, they wear a loincloth tied with ropes along with a pair of tusks tied to their hip. They also have a pair of animal skulls strapped to their arm as shoulder guards, along with a necklace made with a tiny critter skull, strapped through it's orbit and accompanied by two huge fangs tied with twine on each side.

Usage[]
The Chieftain is one of the best melee units for doing raw damage. Its rapid-style heavy hitting attacks can melt even tanky units such as the King with multiple chieftains. This makes it excellent for whittling enemy melee units down to nothing in mere seconds, especially if you effectively distract. However, no seeming superman is always invincible. Strong melee units, especially ones that outrange it can easily kill it. Ranged units can shut chieftain down very easily. For example, all it takes to kill it are two spears from a Spear Thrower.
Encounters[]
Being fairly powerful units, the Chieftain appears as the main damage of the armies, often appearing behind the fodder units so they can hack and slash their way through the weaken enemy units. They also appear often in big groups.

History[]
When it comes to ruling a massive group of people, it is generally easier said than done when it gets down to letting the people decide laws for themselves; after all, it is at least somewhat easier to fix a massive argument that could lead to division of the tribe from war than to leave it to the collective population. So, to fix this problem, they selected a rather primitive, but effective, head of the tribe; the Chieftain. The exact requirements are unknown, but they were likely elected similarly to modern-day Presidents. Once in control, they were likely the ones to help settle the score in terms of tribal policy. In fact, there are even some countries with modern day chieftains for tribes. While we can’t say for sure, an ideal example of a tribal chieftain may have been one that could lead the tribe out of even the most dangerous situations, and could keep the tribe defended from anybody, no matter how strong the foe[s].
However, as time progressed, the need for such primitive political offices dwindled, making way for emperors, kings, sultans, and soon, presidents. Nonetheless, there are still countries with tribes led by a chieftain. How different they are to the ones of old depends on contact with the outside world, though.
Trivia[]

- It can, in some rare cases, defeat the Shogun in 1v1, despite that one costs 9 times more than the other.
- It does 700 DPS, which is surprisingly one of the highest DPS in the game, despite that it costs just 400.
