Characteristics[]
The Archer is a ranged Unit enlisted within the Medieval Faction. They have long range, reasonable accuracy, and sufficient damage per hit. They are one of the most basic ranged Units in the game. In the full game, their cheaper counterpart are the Poachers, whom have shorter range.
Appearance[]
The Archer is a Wobbler wearing a hood with a liripipe along with a medieval shirt and pants. They also wear vambraces and have a pair of archer boots.

Usage[]
Archers can kill most units in 1 - 3 hits, though get less accurate the closer the enemy approaches. Archers will need cover to be able to kill as many Units as possible - Place your melee units in front to try to distract and harm the enemy army whilst the Archers fire at them. Also, Archers can't take many hits so try to protect them if you can (assuming they don't kill themselves from fall damage). Nonetheless, the Archers can be regarded as one of the strongest cheap ranged units in the game, beating the Spear Thrower in accuracy as well as beating out the Catapult, Cannon, Ballista, and other similar siege engines in combat, due to the overall strength.
Trivia[]
- The Archers in Pre-Alpha were underpowered, then in same version they become overpowered. Then they became average in both Alphas. Now they can be considered above average.
- Archers do not close their eyes when shooting, unlike what was shown by Landfall.
- As of Versions 0.13.0 Beta, Archers now draw their bows.
- In fact, all Units equipped with a bow draw the arrow back.
